Monday saw Sandyford 2nds take on Lucan cricket club for the first time and run out comfortable winners in their Whelan Cup encounter. Batting first, Sandyford made 140 in its 20 overs, with Nadeem Kahn top-scoring on 46 (he was also the highest run scorer in the previous round) before dismissing the visitors for 57, with Ravinder Singh taking 4 wickets. Saturday saw both the 1sts and 3rds going down to defeats. The 1sts were well beaten by Clontarf by 136 runs. The home side made 225 in their innings, the highlight of which was Anto Burke taking his 900th wicket for the club, a feat unlikely ever to be surpassed in the current era of restricted overs per bowler. Sandyford never looked like chasing down the total, losing wickets at regular intervals before being dismissed for 89.

The 3rds game was a closer affair with Sandyford making 161-8 off 40 overs, with Rhys Waters top-scoring on 31. Leinster made the total in the 38th over with 5 wickets to spare.

Better luck for the 2nds on Sunday who had the closest of wins over Phoenix 4ths. Set 159 to win, Sandyford made it with only one wicket in hand, Anand Joshi top-scoring with 31.

A mixed weekend for the club with both the 1sts and 3rds in action. The 1sts were at home to Adamstown who were dismissed for 147, with Arun taking 4 wickets and Anto taking 3. The 1st made the total losing 7 wickets in the process for an excellent victory.

The 3rds travelled to Meath to play Knockharley. The home side batted first and put on 129-6 following tight bowling from all seven Sandyford bowlers, David Gray leading the way with 6-1-22-2. Sandyford never looked like making the total following the fall of early wickets and only Ihsan Ullah (19) and Arun Nambisan (10*)  made double figures, Sandyford being dismissed for 59.

A first win of the season for Sandyford as the 2nds beat Merrion in their 20/20 game on Monday evening. Merrion made 149/06 from their overs which total Sandyford chased down with 2 balls remaining, with Nadeem Khan top-scoring on 37.

A good display on Tuesday by the 1st team saw them lose only on the 4th last ball to Dundrum in Wesley. Sandyford made 125/08 of its 20 overs with Nadeem top-scoring with 49. Dundrum lost 4 wickets in reply before making the total in the 20th over.
