Weekend July 19th-20th
The 1st team visited North Kildare and came home empty handed on Saturday. Batting first, Sandyford were dismissed for only 88 with Srikanth Boddu top-scoring with 29. North Kildare chased down the total without losing a wicket.
Despite a 50 by Ravi SIngh (including six 6s), a 7 man 3rd team were beaten by Adamstown.. Sandyford made 126 ao which the opposition chased down for the loss of 6 wickets.
A 50 by Ravi (above) was not enough to secure victory for the 3rds over Adamstown
In a high scoring game in North County, the home team beat Sandyford 2nds. Put in to bat, North County scored 279 off their 45 overs. Sandyford made a great effort in chasing this big total down but eventually just fell short of the total.

Whelan Cup Final heartbreak
The 2nds lost to Ringcommons in the Whelan Cup Final on Sunday by one run. Ringcommons batted first and made 131-07 from their 20 overs. Sandyford just failed in its chase, ending up 1 run short of the total with 9 wickets down, despite Srikanth scoring a 50.
Weekend Jul 12-13th
Mixed results on Saturday with the 2nds losing but the 3rds advancing to the semi-final of the cup for two years in a row.
Despite scoring 231/9 with Adam and Srikanth making 50s, Sandyford 2nds lost to Greystones by 4 wickets with their 3rd wicket partnership putting on 150+.
10 man Sandyford 3rds beat Bagnalstown in the Minor Cup by only 3 runs. Sandyford made 199 ao with Shankar continuing his good run of form with the bat with a 50 and thanks to spirited effort in the field won by just 3 runs!
3rd team captain, David Gray, who has led his side to the semi-final of the Minor Cup for the second successive season.
Unfortunately, a weakened 3rds team lost to Rush on Sunday despite a brilliant 91 by Vinay Iqbal. Sandyford made 143 which Rush chased down for the loss of 9 wickets. A weekend of some very close results.

Weekend 5th-6th July
The 1st travelled to Rush on Saturday but lost a high scoring game. Rush 2 batted first and made 275/07 off 45 overs which Sandyford almost chased down before being dismissed on the penultimate ball for 269, their third highest ever total, Kanwar (below) top-scoring with 77.
The 3rds lost to Laoise in St. Columba's by 64 runs. Laoise batted first and made 160, with Anand Joshi taking 4 wickets but Sandyford were dismissed for 96 in reply.

Whelan Cup defeat but Sandyford advance to Final
On Monday, Sandyford 2 faced Adamstown 2 in the semi-final of the Whelan Cup. Batting first, Adamstown put on an impressive 223 off their 20 overs. Sandyford made a spirited reply but eventually fell 14 runs short of their target, ending on 209/09.
However, due to irregularities in the Adamstown team, Adamstown have conceded the game to Sandyford who now advance to the Final.
